  • WALABI: Animal Reproduction, Genetics and Breeding

    WALABI: Animal Reproduction, Genetics and Breeding is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and innovation in animal reproduction, genetics, and breeding. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, and other scholarly contributions addressing fundamental and applied aspects of reproductive science, animal genetics, breeding, and related biotechnologies.

    WALABI provides an international platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and professionals to disseminate scientific findings that contribute to the genetic improvement, reproductive efficiency, productivity, adaptability, health, and sustainable management of livestock and other animals of agricultural importance.

    The journal particularly welcomes studies on animal reproductive physiology and technologies, reproductive biotechnology, genetics and genomics, molecular genetics, genetic diversity and conservation, quantitative and molecular breeding, selection and genetic improvement, reproductive and breeding management, and the conservation and sustainable utilization of animal genetic resources. Interdisciplinary studies integrating reproduction, genetics, breeding, biotechnology, and sustainable animal production are also encouraged.

    With particular interest in research relevant to tropical and emerging livestock production systems, WALABI seeks to connect locally important animal genetic resources and production challenges with broader scientific developments in animal reproduction and breeding. The journal welcomes contributions from Indonesia and other regions worldwide and aims to promote scientifically rigorous research with relevance to sustainable livestock development and the conservation of animal genetic resources.

    WALABI: Animal Reproduction, Genetics and Breeding is committed to maintaining high standards of scientific quality, research integrity, transparent peer review, and responsible scholarly publishing.

    Jurnal Ilmu Peternakan dan Veteriner Tropis (Journal of Tropical Animal and Veterinary Science)

    Journal Ilmu Peternakan dan Veteriner Tropis - JIPVET (Journal of Tropical Animal and Veterinary Science) is a scientific publication in tropical animal and veterinary sciences. JIPVET seeks original research papers and reviews. This journal was first published in 2000 as Walabi Journal by the Animal Production Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Cenderawasih University. In 2006 the name was changed to Journal of Animal Husbandry (JIP), published by the Department of Animal Production and Nutrition and Animal Feed, the Faculty of Animal Science, Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPPK), Papua State University (UNIPA). Later FPPK was split into two faculties, the Faculty of Animal Science (Fapet) and the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), then in 2018 JIP changed its name to the Journal of Animal and Tropical Veterinary Science (JIPVET). JIPVET is published by FAPET University of Papua, and issued twice a year, in March and September. 

    In May 2019, because the old server was inaccessible for 24 hours, the Journal address was changed from http://jurnal.unipa.ac.id/index.php/peterna/index to https://journal.fapetunipa.ac.id.

    On August 10, 2020 (Vol. 10. Issue 1), DOI JIPVET was included in the article.

    This journal is a media to publicize all community service activities. This journal was first published in 2020. This journal was published 4 times a year, in January, April, Juli and October.

    We would like to inform you that the publication of Volume 5, Issue 2, was delayed due to unforeseen technical issues. Despite our team's best efforts to resolve these problems, the situation caused a delay in the publication schedule, and as a result, the publication could only be made on August 22, 2024.
